TJ got an interview! :3

We were excited so we cheated our butts off yesterday, with Baskin Robbins' ice cream and a Mountain Dew Coolatta.  We (Or at least, I) should have expected the MASSIVE FUCKING HEADACHE that we both got.  He fell asleep with his, but I had to deal with mine not five minutes ago.  I'd still be paying for my cheating habits if it hadn't been for this wonderful tea that I'm drinking right now (Non-caffeinated, unsweetened Acai Berry tea).  So I guess we both have learned our lessons about cheating and sugar in general.  It fucking hurts if you swerve on this diet. D:

Note to Self: TJ asked me to remind him of this whenever he decided it was worth it to cheat on the Paleo Diet.  I have my doubts, but maybe it'll work to steer him away now that he's gone through it himself.  It should work on me too, I hope >>;;.

He also tried to cheat with a Popeyes' biscuit today, but lo and behold his stomach started churning just from one bite.  He himself is starting to see the effects of this diet (And I'm also kinda glad because it means I get to spend more time with him than a toilet does! :D), so I'm excited to see what the rest of this month brings.

First wave of ZOMG MUST BURN FAT has hit as of this morning.  I'm experiencing a lot of dizziness and a little bit of muscle pain, and I only expect it to get worse as this week goes on.  I also kind of want to throw up a little.  Giving up carbs is hard work.

I'm not a health conscious person.  Never have been, and despite the fact that this blog was created solely to document the success of a diet I am about to undertake (Again), I doubt I ever will be.  I am simply a young woman, a novelist, a truthseeker who would love to and should be able to express her feelings and lifestyle to the world without being persecuted.

This diet is obviously not for everyone.

Not many people believe in thinking for themselves.  Not many people can.  They are forced by their peers to succumb to the wills of the world.  This is true for nearly every aspect of life, from habits to politics.  One thing that should never bend or break for anyone though, is one's personal health.

I have found not only through experience but through observation that the Paleo diet exists because it is meant to exist.  The same cannot be said for grains, nor wheat, not even some nuts or seeds.  If such is the case, then why are we eating them?!  I choose to attempt this diet because it makes sense.  It seems like the one, surefire way to not only lose weight, but to inprove the quality of life for not only myself, but my loved ones as well.  I hope to Dispater that I'm doing the right thing -- I hope I'm not blindly putting my faith in something.  But then again, that's what research is for.

My (Should I say 'Our'?) 30 Day Challenge began May 1st.  I'm about to change the way I eat - no slip-ups, no "cheats", no sugar, not even rice - for an entire month.  The prospect isn't scary because I've done it before and I've seen for myself what a couple months on this diet can do, but it's hard to get started.  Particularly because...  Well, I really don't have money.  But it's worth it.  It's worth it if I can not only prove to myself that I have the willpower to do this, but also be able to change my life for the better.  It's a slow-moving process that I've been uncovering this past year and a half, and it is a daunting task, but I think I'm up to it.

Here's to eating Paleo and never looking back.
